The COVID-Pandemic Quebec Network (RQCP) was established by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to provide a space for coordinating research efforts at the provincial level, to foster intersectoral collaboration and sharing (health, society and culture, nature and technology) to federate forces during the crisis and, in the longer term, to build expertise in pandemic and crisis preparedness and management. In order to carry out its mandate, 6 intersectoral thematic working groups were created.
Chaired by researcher Janie Houle, the mandate of the Population Health Working Group is to identify elements of a population mental health research strategy for the COVID crisis based on the most recent research and evidence. It was established in collaboration with Philanthropic Foundations Canada and Fondation Trottier.
Congratulations Janie! This is a great recognition of the expertise of UQAM researchers in the social sciences and humanities!
